So far, FMT has welcomed two cross-cultural exposure teams led by Emmanuel International staff from Pader. Last week, we ourselves had the great opportunity to visit the FMT team in Kaabong.
The frontier is anywhere where there is a distinct people group that is considered either unreached (less than 2% Bible-believing Christians) or completely unengaged by the gospel (no contact yet made).
Increasingly, missions mobilization is overtaking the hearts of our Pader team. We are seeing small but promising beginnings of God capturing the hearts of more and more people in our town for taking the name of Jesus where it is still not known. Our team of missions intercessors has doubled in the past month. And we are seeing young men and women who have finished MissionMode or Kairos taking practical steps as they each discover their unique role in God's global mission, whether as people called to go to a foreign land, or as people called to give, pray, encourage, and mobilize so that unreached people groups will be reached.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?
Notice that the word does not reach the frontier unless there are both people willing to go, and people willing to send. The role of sending has often been underappreciated and not well understood. This is a key prayer of our mobilization ministry currently - that believers in Pader, and indeed whole churches, would understand this crucial role of the "Sender".
Pray with us, and pray with FMT for the great work God is doing in that land.
