In 2006, Marianne did an 8-month co-op term in Hamilton. We were able to visit Hamilton recently, as Mike was asked to speak at Boston Baptist Church about EICanada's relief work around the world, with a special focus on Northern Uganda (which we turned into an opportunity to visit). We also had Hamilton come to visit us a week later (in a way...). To understand, here are three pieces of information about Marianne's co-op term in Hamilton.
First thing to note is that Marianne lived with 3 other girls in a house dubbed "Lamo Bay", because someone figured out that the digits of the phone number could be used to spell (you guessed it!) "Lamo Bay"! Here is a picture of Mariane with one of her fellow "Lamos", Gloria (who is getting married one month from TODAY!).
Second, Marianne has a bit of an old soul. Thus, it's only natural that left without Mike's guidance and inspiration of squash playing, she would choose Aquafitness as her main form of exercise. While attending Aquafitness, Marianne made life-long friends with two ladies named Elsa and Anne. We had the great opportunity to stop in at Elsa and Erik's new condo!
Well, she's not pregnant anymore! Here's Heather and baby Ben who made it out all the way from Edmonton to see us!
